EDWINS had the pleasure of joining Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, LAND Studio, Boys and Girls Club, Saint Luke’s Foundation, Cleveland Police Foundation, Fourth District, Fresh Camp, Making Our Own Stories and more and for this year’s Britt Oval “Brock Party” (Britt Oval + Block Party) on Aug. 3.
Community Outreach Coordinator, Derrick Speights, said he really enjoyed himself helping entertain the neighborhood children with outdoor activities like judging the relay race and hula hoop contest.

While blowing bubbles, Derrick met a young fellow with a goal for the day of popping every bubble he could get his tiny hands on!
Derrick reports he also watched the greatest water balloon fight he’s ever seen take place at the Brock Party. “Trust me, no one was safe,” he said.
There were caricatures being drawn, and with Captain Keith Sulzer manning the grill, it was almost an obligation to enjoy the delicious hot dogs he was serving. Great music played, and everyone was dancing and having fun.
Derrick told us, “I really enjoyed the opportunity to see neighborhood kids having a good time with their peers and leaders of the community. The energy was infectious and I am truly excited to participate in the future.”
