Interested in Joining the EDWINS Program?
EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute is open to formerly-incarcerated adults in who want a second a chance. There is no charge for students to attend EDWINS, and we provide all uniforms, books and supplies.
Students must be at least 18 years of age, but we do not require a minimum education level or past job experience. EDWINS does not ask any information pertaining to criminal background prior to accepting someone into the program. If you are ready to move forward, work hard, dedicate yourself and adhere to our strict attendance policy, you are welcome at EDWINS. Students from any geographic area may enroll at EDWINS, but they must provide their own transportation and accommodations to get to our institute in Cleveland, Ohio.
We currently have new classes scheduled to start on July 31, 2017, and Oct. 30, 2017.
To register for an upcoming class, we ask you to visit our non-profit partner, Passages, Inc., on Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until about 11 a.m. Enrollment will require presenting a valid ID and filling out an application at Passages. For prospective students not currently in Cleveland or unable to attend open enrollment on Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., please call Passages for further instructions.

After filling out the application at Passages, prospective students will be contacted for an interview. The interviews are held at EDWINS Restaurant approximately three weeks before class starts. To qualify for the EDWINS program, prospective students are only required to be prompt, sober and display a willingness to learn and work during the interview.
If a student is selected, EDWINS’ Case Manager will contact them to let them know when and where to arrive for their first day of class.
