We were honored to walk the ‘green’ carpet to enjoy a screening of Cleveland Growing StrongA Collection of Food Stories, a documentary created from the  Cleveland Growing Strong 2016 oral history project.

The oral history project recorded 24 unique Cleveland stories told by the gardeners and leaders who are cultivating our city, including EDWINS’ own Chef de Cuisine, Chris Terry.

You can view Chris’ full interview here or in the video below.

From these 24 individual interviews, filmmaker Brad Masi then created a 55-minute documentary featuring several of Cleveland’s community gardens, including Chris and the EDWINS’ garden at the corner of East 130th Street and Shaker Boulevard.  The film also showcases EDWINS graduate, Kimberly Clegg, and her work with Community Green House Partners.

Special thanks Nancy Nolan-Jones, Brad Masi and Matt Moore for including us in this project, and to Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. for welcoming us to their beautiful space for the screening.

EDWINS will also be part of the next screening of Cleveland Growing StrongA Collection of Food Stories at Shaker Lakes Nature Center on Wednesday, April 19th at 7 p.m.  Be sure to check out the scheduled screenings and all of the other full-length interviews here.
